The character restriction limit is 60 characters for the circular text going around the edge. This is a great return address stamp. I ordered the actual stamper and an insert with my maiden name and address for use on thank you notes for my wedding shower. Then I ordered the refill, with my husband and my initials for use after the wedding. And we love that we get to show our school spirit! I found it very easy to switch out the old stamp cartridge for the new one. The turn around time with shipping was also very quick. I would not hesitate to purchase more refills for the this stamper in the future.
